Mahesh Babu's film has a Twitter record this year

'Sarileru Neekevvaru', which hit the screens for Sankranthi this year, has become the most-tweeted Telugu movie hashtag of 2020. Incidentally, the Mahesh Babu-starrer has trumped Allu Arjun's 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo', which was a bigger hit at the box-office.
After the Sankranthi releases, no superstar movie released in theatres due to the pandemic. Ideally, Chiranjeevi's 'Acharya' or Prabhas' 'Radhe Shyam' would have given 'SNE' a tough competition. That said, Mahesh's films are quite popular on social media. He will next be doing 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata', starring Keerthy Suresh as the female lead.
In Tamil, Suriya's 'Soorarai Pottru' became the most-tweeted Tamil movie hashtag. In Hindi, it is 'Dil Bechara'.
