Mahesh Babu's fans celebrate Dookudu's 10th anniversary

It was on this day in 2011 that 'Dookudu' hit the screens. On Thursday, the makers of the film became nostalgic as they remembered the glorious heights that the Mahesh Babu-starrer attained at the box office.
Taking to social media, producer Anil Sunkara thanked the Superstar's fans for the miraculous success. And the special shows of the movie have been a hit in the Telugu States, he added. "After 10 years the movie is playing today all over with full shows. Your amazing gratitude towards this film brings us immense satisfaction. DOOKUDU will remain as one of the best moments of our lives forever and ever," the producer wrote.
He also thanked writers Gopi Mohan and Kona Venkat, besides calling Thaman's music magical. A day before the release of 'Dookudu', a special poster was released wherein it was claimed that the film was going to be on a record-creating spree. "Such was our confidence in our product," the producer added.
On his part, director Sreenu Vaitla wrote, "It’s been ten years since the film hit the screens, but still insane how fresh the moments are in our Hearts."
The film had a 50-day run in 312 centers, while a 100-day run was registered in 158 centers. It ran for 150 days in 18 centers, besides scoring a 175-day run in 12 centers. It was the first 100 Cr grosser in Tollywood.
