The passing away of Diego Maradona, 60, a great footballer, has come as a shock. The legend died following a cardiac arrest on Wednesday night (IST). A fortnight ago, the Argentinian legend had undergone surgery for the removal a blood clot in his brain.
Mourning his death, Superstar Mahesh Babu took to Twitter and said that a legend has passed. "Rest in peace Diego #Maradona (sic)," the 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' actor wrote. Devi Sri Prasad described him as a true legend and posted a file pic.
Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar wrote, "Football and the world of sports has lost one of its greatest players today. Rest in Peace Diego Maradona! You shall be missed."
Bollywood star Shah Ruk Khan said that Diego Maradona had made football even more beautiful. "You will be sorely missed and may you entertain and enthrall heaven as you did this world. RIP," the 'Raees' and 'Zero' actor wrote.
