Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu's brother Ghattameneni Ramesh Babu has passed away suddenly earlier this evening. He was taken ill on Saturday evening with a liver related ailment. The family members rushed him to the AIG Hospital in Gachibowli where he was pronounced dead by Doctors.

Ramesh Babu who was 56 was the eldest son of veteran superstar Krishna and has acted in several films including the Tamil film 'Shanthi Enathu Shanthi' starring Simbu and directed by TR. He then turned producer and has produced films starring Amitabh Bachchan in Hindi and his younger brother Mahesh Babu in Telugu.

Ramesh Babu is survived by his wife Mrudula Ghattamaneni and two Children Bharathi Ghattamaneni and Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni and sisters Manjula Ghattamaneni, Padmavathi and Priyadarshini and thier families apart from Mahesh Babu, Krishna and his mother Indira Devi.

Tollywood media is reporting that Mahesh Babu himself is affected by COVID 19 and it is sad that it is a question mark whether he would be able to attend the final rites of his eldest brother.
