Mahesh Babu in legal trouble for over pricing movie tickets

The Central government recently reduced the GST from 28 percent to 18 percent for cinema tickets which came into effect from January 1st this year. However the Mahesh Babu owned AMB Cinemas located at the Sarath City Capital Mall in Hyderabad did not reduce the ticket prices and charged in the old GST calculations.
The Rangareddy GST Commissionerate pulled up the multiplex for accruing illegal profits of rupees 35 Lakhs. The representatives of Mahesh Babu have stated that it was an error in calculations and were ready to pay whatever the commisionerate directs them to.
