In a candid chat with fans and some celebs at a charity dinner, Mahesh Babu has opened up on his personal life and his interests.

He said that he had a normal childhood in Chennai and went to school in an auto rickshaw. He added that he never spoke to his friends that his father was a super star. "Even now I like to stay away from limelight and lead a normal life. It is what I learnt from my father", says Mahesh. "I have a very few friends and from industry I am close to Sreenu Vaitla and Trivikram Srinivas"

About his children, Mahesh said, "Gautham likes acting, but he is too young to decide anything right now. I want to see my daughter Sitara as a scientist".

Answering a question if he is interested to enter politics in the future, Mahesh said that our country has enough problems and he don't want to get into politics. He prefers helping needy children instead.
