Guntur Kaaram, which grappled with multiple shoot delays throughout the year, is now hurtling towards completion at an impressive pace, adhering to its scheduled release date of January 12, 2024, as steadfastly declared by the esteemed production house, Haarika and Hassine Creations, on numerous occasions. Trivikram, the mastermind behind the project, serves as both the writer and director for this much-anticipated entertainer, featuring stalwarts such as Mahesh Babu, Sreeleela, and Meenakshii Chaudhary in pivotal roles.
The musical maestro, S Thaman, is orchestrating the film's soundtrack. Following the resounding success of the dynamic and high-energy first single, "Dum Masala," the creators are poised to unveil the second track later this week. The promo for the song, titled "Oh My Baby," was revealed today. This enchanting composition, sung by the versatile Shilpa Rao and lyrically adorned by Ramajogaiah Sastry, promises to captivate audiences.
In a teaser snippet, Mahesh Babu, against the backdrop of a delightful, breezy melody, delivers a memorable line to Sreeleela - "Ammo..Ravanakadu..Gurthettuko..Gunturosthe Panikosthadi" - while the reluctant female lead, adorned in a green sari, hesitates to respond. Shilpa Rao's soulful voice adds a distinctive charm to the song. The full musical experience is set to be unveiled on December 13, accompanied by a vibrant new poster showcasing Mahesh and Sreeleela in flamboyant avatars.
This collaboration marks Trivikram's third venture with Mahesh Babu, following the success of the critically acclaimed entertainers "Athadu" and "Khaleja." The anticipation surrounding Guntur Kaaram is palpable, with the promise of showcasing Mahesh in a raw and rustic avatar. Notable additions to the cast include Jayaram, Jagapathi Babu, and Ramya Krishna, heightening the film's appeal.
The upcoming release holds significant importance for Mahesh Babu, marking his return to the theatrical arena after a hiatus of over one and a half years. Following Guntur Kaaram, he is set to embark on SS Rajamouli's action-adventure (tentatively titled SSMB29), penned by Vijayendra Prasad. Sreeleela, with four releases in 2023, and Trivikram, who is slated to direct Allu Arjun in a subsequent project, are also making waves in the cinematic landscape.
