As we all know Ilayathalapathy Vijay is playing a cop in his upcoming film 'Theri'. His character name in this Atlee directed flick is Vijayakumar IPS. Samantha the female lead plays Mithra, who is a doctor and Amy Jackson, who plays another female lead in the film is a Teacher as it was evident from the trailer that release on March 20.

Now the character of the lead villain played by veteran director Mahendran has been revealed. Mahendran is a corrupt Minister in this film and the clash between the minister and the cop apparently forms the crux of the film.

Mahendran has revealed this in an interview today. The 'Uthiripookkal' director has also shared a interesting incident while shooting a scene with Vijay.

As per the scene Atlee wanted Mahendran to blow the cigarette smoke in front of Vijay. Mahendran said he controlled the smoke while blowing it as it would veil the beautiful expression given by Vijay in that scene. He wanted that expression of Vijay to be completely visible to the fans.

Hope we have more and more such interesting trivia about this much anticipated flick within the film's grand release on April 14, 2016 as a Tamil New Year treat.
