Former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has announced his retirement, by posting a video on Instagram. The cricketer played his last ODI match against New Zealand in the 2020 worldcup.
Sharing the video which has memorable moments from the matches Dhoni played, including the semifinal loss against New Zealand, his moments with team mates including Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli and many others.
The video has Main Pal Do Pal song from Amitabh Bachchan's Kabhi kabhi playing in the background and Dhoni has captioned the video "Thanks. Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout. From 1929 hrs consider me as retired". Sakshi has replied to the post with a heart emoticon, and numerous fans have expressed their disappointment over the announcement. Dhoni is expected to captain Chennai super kings in the upcoming IPL to be played in the UAE. A detailed official statement on Dhoni's retirement is expected soon.
