Mahatma Gandhis ashes urn stolen and shocking word written on his portrait

In a shocking incident the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi's portrait kept at the Bapu Bhawan in Laxmanbagh Sansthan in Madya Pradesh has been defaced and the word "Deshdrohi" (Traitor of India) written on it. The urn that was used to carry Gandhiji's ashes kept there was also stolen. Even more sad about the incident is that it happened when India was celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of one of history's most famous freedom fighters.

Gandhiji's great-grandson Tushar Gandhi has angrily stated "Just heard the news that someone/people stole the funeral ashes of my great grandfather kept in a shrine at Gandhi Bhavan in Rewa Madhya Pradesh. Wish he wasn't the father of the nation, wish he wasn't Mahatma. Wish he was only my great grandfather,"
