Mahat Raghavendra on making his Bollywood debut with 'Double XL'

Actor Mahat Raghavendra, who has primarily worked in Tamil and Telugu cinema so far, is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the upcoming film 'Double XL'. He will be seen sharing screen with Sonakshi Sinha, Huma Qureshi and Zaheer Iqbal and in a recent conversation with IANS, Mahat talked about his first Bollywood experience and how he managed to bag the role.
The actor stated, “I was waiting in the room and I saw Satramm walk in. It was the first time we were seeing each other face to face. I got up to greet him and he immediately said ‘You’re Srikanth’ and I was like no, I’m Mahat Raghavendra. Satramm just laughed and said ‘No, no you’re perfect for playing Srikanth Srivardhan’."
Mahat continued, "That’s how our first meeting went. I am grateful to the producers for giving me such a fantastic role as my Bollywood debut and Sonakshi, Huma and Zaheer were absolutely amazing to work along with! It has surely been an enriching experiences."
Also starring cricketer Shikhar Dhawan in a cameo appearance, 'Double XL' will focus on the struggle of two plus size women who face hurdles because of their appearance while working on their dreams. It is set to release on 4th of November.
