'Maharshi' Teaser Review: Mahesh's style & lines attract

We guess there is no harm in saying that the glossy Teaser for 'Maharshi' makes only modest impact. To be sure, it presents the film as a 'Srimanthudu'-meets-'Bharat Ane Nenu' meal.
Mahesh Babu's introduction scene is lavish. We see those three or four things that we associate with riches, in a single frame: a private helicopter, suited and booted guards standing in rapt attention as the billionaire comes walking out with a contented smile on his face, the backdrop of sky-high buildings some of whom could be at the mercy of our hero, and a foreign location.
Then, we see that press meet scene that induces a sense of deja vu. This time, the charmer that is Mahesh has grown light beard. He tells someone that he has the habit of never giving up. "Success ki fullstops undavu, comma lu matrame untai" rings well.
Big fish draft henchmen to kill him and our hero is helped by Ram-Lakhman's fighting skills at the right time. We hope the writing department (comprising of director Vamshi Paidipally, Hari and Solomon) have a surprise package in store.
For now, Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh and the contingent of a whole lot of characters (including ruthless villains and melodramatic villagers) have been kept out of teaser.
Music director Devi Sri Prasad and cinematographer KU Mohanan are big names and they will definitely add value. Edited by KL Praveen, the entertainer has Production Design by Sunil Babu. Lyrics are by Shreemani.
The film, produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations, Vyjayanthi Movies, PVP Cinema, releases on May 9.
