'Maharshi': Premiers gross crosses half million

Maharshi: Premiers gross crosses half million

'Maharshi' had a high number of premiers on Wednesday in the US.  The big-ticket entertainer has grossed $509,428 from 228 locations in the country.  The crucial overseas market has disappointed the distributor.  The overall overseas figure (from all countries) is yet to be reported.  

The reason the figure is underwhelming is that the Mahesh Babu film was billed to cross the one million dollar mark, just as 'SPYder' and 'Bharat Ane Nenu' could pull off.  

Meanwhile, the Day 1 openings of the film in the domestic market are expected to be very high.  They may cross the collections of 'Bharat Ane Nenu' despite mixed response.
