It was reported in August that Mahesh Babu-starrer 'Maharshi' acquired a new feather in its cap. After becoming a hit at the box-office when it released in May, the film turned out to be one of the biggest Twitter Tags in India till June this year. The Vamsi Paidipally directorial stands at No. 4 in terms of being the most influential Twitter tags.

This is the only Telugu film and the only film in India other than Ajith's 'Viswasam' to find a spot in the No. 5 list. 'Viswasam', the mass Tamil hit, is at No. 1, beating even the hashtag #LokSabhaElections2019 (No. 2). At No. 3 is #CWC19. Interestingly, no Bollywood flick has found a place in the top 5 list.
