Dil Raju has said that 'Maharshi' has crossed the Rs 100 Cr mark (share) since its release on May 9. "Our movie has now entered its fourth week. It has mopped up a billion rupees. The reason why I joined hands with two other producers to bankroll this movie is because I loved the story a lot when Vamshi Paidipally narrated it to me for the first time," the Sri Venkateswara Creations head said.
Raju added that the Mahesh Babu-starrer will soon cross Rs 30 Cr in the Nizam territory. The film is one of the biggest hits in the territory in the history of Telugu cinema.
The film, however, failed to cover itself in glory in the US. It earned a loss of Rs 2 Cr for its distributor there.
Starring also Allari Naresh and Pooja Hegde, its music is by Devi Sri Prasad.
