The release of 'Maharathi' directed by P Vasu and produced by Vakada Appa Rao on the banner of Sri Lalita Kalanjali Productions with the blessings of RB Choudary with Balakrishna, Sneha and Meera Jasmine in the lead, with popular actress of yesteryears Jayaprada playing a special role, was postponed to February 1.

Balakrishna is playing a role with three different dimensions in this family entertainer while Kannada music director Gurukiran made his debut.

The audio of the film was released recently and is getting a positive response. The film had completed the censor formalities recently and got a clean 'U' certificate.

Glamorous heroine Navaneeth Kaur is appearing in an important role in this flick. The film's release got delayed due to some unavoidable circumstances.

The producer however is making efforts to release the film on February 1.
