'Mahanati' to have Samantha's own voice?

'Mahanati', starring Keerthy Suresh as the legendary Savitri, had its shoot recently done. The delayed and meticulously-made film is now on its way to completing post-production works, which also involves extensive VFX works.
The buzz is that Samantha Akkineni might well dub on her own in the movie. In 'Rangasthalam', we have seen how it was not Chinmayi Sripadi who dubbed but Jyothi Varma. It sounded new. If Samantha indeed dubs in 'Mahanati', then it will be new again.
As is known, the biopic will hit the screens on May 9. It will release in Tamil as 'Nadigaiyar Thilagam'.
Dulquer Salman as Gemini Ganesan, Vijay Devarakonda (in a guest role), Naga Chaitanya (in an extended cameo), Mohan Babu as SV Ranga Rao, Prakash Raj as Chakrapani, Malavika Nair, Shalini Pandey and others are part of the cast. Divya Vani as Savitri's mother and Bhanu Priya as a dubbing artiste, too, are associated with the project. It's directed by Nag Ashwin of Yevade Subrahmanyam' fame. Mickey J Meyer is composing the music.
