'Mahanati' is one film that has turned many heads because of the huge momentum it got with Tuesday's premieres in the US. In terms of gross for Premieres, it pulled off the 4th highest for this year so far.

The news is that, on Friday, the biopic is pegged to have collected $261,112 from 149 locations. $1,752 is billed to be per-location average. As things stand, its total gross reported as of the end of Friday is $930,180. So, it's only a matter of time that the Nag Ashwin-Keerthy Suresh-Dulquer Salman film clocks the one million mark in the US.

How is it doing in Australia? "It's winning hearts there as well. A Wednesday release is a rarity in AUS. But the biopic attained superb numbers. So far, it has made A$ 85,523 (Rs. 43.49 lakhs)," says trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
