'Mahanati' makes big by first weekend

'Mahanati' will achieve break-even sooner than later, say trade reports. Even as it is destined to cross the 2 million dollar mark in the US, the biopic collected a share of Rs. 15.77 crores (worldwide) as of the end of Sunday.
Nizam's Rs. 3.48 crores is the biggest contributor in the Telugu States. Vizag's Rs. 1.04 crores is the next best. For its genre, the film has done very well across regions.
With the film getting rave reviews and no superstar releases this week, the Nag Ashwin-directed and critically-acclaimed movie will continue to laugh its way to the bank.
