Mahanati is every bit authentic, real: Makers

'Mahanati', directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Priyanka Dutt, will hit the screens on May 9 in three languages - Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.

Ahead of its teaser later in the evening, its makers say that the biopic has been inspired by real events and incidents in Savitri's life.  "Our film aims to tell Savitri's story and how she came to rule the hearts of millions of fans with her charm, versatility and unprecedented popularity," the makers say.

Director Nag Ashwin, in fact, had put in years of research in writing the biopic.  “It is a gratifying moment, as we begin to unveil the film. The film’s teaser will bring to light the character, and reveal a fascinating peek into Savitri and all her glory," he says.

Priyanka Dutt says, "As the makers of the film, we have captured every element of her life with utmost precision while maintaining the authenticity of the subject. We are very hopeful that the teaser will set a high note and match the eventual expectations of her fans as well as the new generation alike."

It seems Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema are going to have a blast at the box office with this Keerthy Suresh-Samantha Akkineni entertainer.
