The audio of 'Mahanati' was unveiled on Tuesday.  Nagarjuna, K Raghavendra Rao, NTR, Nani, among others, were present as guests.  

Nagarjuna said, "NTR garu, ANR garu and Savitri garu - these names will forever be etched in our memory.  'Maya Bazaar', 'Mooga Manasulu', 'Dr. Chakravarthy' are some of my all-time favourites.  It was Savitri garu who lifted me in 'Velugu Needalu' and introduced me to the film industry.  I think 'Mahanati' is the first proper biopic on a Telugu film personality.  It's a matter of pride that our industry has produced a film on a woman achiever.  The producers are women, many of them who have worked on this biopic are women.  Keerthy Suresh is lucky to have got the opportunity to play Savitri garu.  I am jealous that I couldn't do a role in this biopic.  But I am happy that my son and my daughter-in-law have done the movie."

NTR said, "This movie is about how she lived, not about how she died.  It's important to take inspiration from some people's lives and their achievements.  Nag Ashwin is bringing to us the glory of one such life.  Nag's experience doesn't matter.  What matters is how big a fan of Savitri garu he is.  Only Sweety, Swapna garu and Ashwini Dutt garu could understand his dream. When we resolve to do something great, everything falls into place.  People ascribe it to God.  I would ascribe it to Nature.  Nature is God.

It's Nature that made Keerthy Suresh doing the biopic possible.  It's Nature that made Dulquer Salman, Samantha and Vijay Devarakonda do it.  Even after they pass away, the spirits of our elders are around.  Savitri garu must have persevered to get this film done. Sweety had asked me to do NT Rama Rao garu's role.

I am not eligible to play him.  I won't have the eligibility in his life!  I have no guts to essay his role.  When we are playing the character of a known person, it's not enough to act.  One has to live the character.  Hats off to Keerthy, Dulquer and others for taking up the challenge.  

K Raghavendra Rao said, "It was with 'Pandava Vanavasam' that my career started. Both NTR garu and Savitri garu did this movie.  This 9th of May, I have the opportunity to know about  Savitri garu.  I am the only director who has made 14 movies for Vyjayanthi Movies.  I wish Nag Ashwin will do more than 14  movies for the banner."  

Nag Ashwin said, "I, Swapna and Priyanka were convinced that the story of 'Mahanati' has got a lot of depth.  To be eligible to make this biopic, I did pre-production works for one year.  My direction team researched for two years."

Vijay Devarakonda said, "My first film with Nag Ashwin had the backdrop of Himalayas. On the other hand, my portions in 'Mahanati' are set in the 1980s.  I feel honoured to have done a small role in this film."  

Samantha Akkineni said, "It's as if I did a risk by accepting this movie.  Although I am not main character in this biopic, the story begins with my narration.  I thank my director for the opportunity."

Natural Star Nani said, "It was with 'Yevade Subrahmanyam' that Nag Ashwin's journey started.  I am jealous that I didn't get to do this movie.  Nag is an honest director.  He is so sincere in his approach.  I am waiting for May 9."

Keerthy Suresh said, "I had heard Nani say that it will be good if I do this movie.  Later, I became a part of this project!  I had first said 'No' to this project.  I had second thoughts because it's a challenging role.  But Nag Ashwin gave me the confidence to go ahead.  Although cameraman Dani is from Spain, he learned about Savitri garu and has given extraordinary visuals.  Thota Tharani garu and Shivam supported us throughout.  Mickey J Meyer has given great music.  Samantha's character drives the story of this biopic.  I have known Dulquer from childhood.  I am very happy to have acted with him.  Although I have no scenes with Vijay Devarakonda, I know he is an excellent performer.  Rajendra Prasad garu, Bhanu Priya garu and others have done this movie."

Dulquer Salman said, "I know how much the Telugu audience love cinema.  It feels great to have done a biopic in such an industry.  I feel happy to have got to work with Vijay Devarakonda, Samantha, Naga Chaitanya and Keerthy Suresh.  Thanks to this movie, I have many friends now!"

Swapna Dutt said, "When we announced the project, so many people expressed doubts. We had a two-film contract with Nag Ashwin.  When he shot off the idea of 'Mahanati', the same day we decided to produce it.  We didn't worry about whether this film will work or not.  We did it only because of our faith in Nagi and Savitri garu."

Sai Madhav Burra said, "This is a special movie for me because I got to pen dialogues for so many great characters!  I must be the only dialogue-writer in this generation who has got such an opportunity.  Keerthy Suresh garu is much like Savitri garu."
