Megastar Amitabh Bachchan,B-town dancing queen Madhuri Dixit and actress Preity Zinta are in a Maagi` soup that nobody wants to be.. Noodled` in a controversy and charged for misleading and promoting an unsafe` product.

The court has registered an FIR against them for endorsing Maggi a brand by Nestle India - under scanner for reports of high lead and monosodium glutamate (MSG) content in Maggi noodles.

Kerala ordered removal of the product from its outlets. Samples of the noodles in New Delhi were found "unsafe" for consumption during tests by State government, even as Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Haryana ordered random testing of the noodles.

Just a while ago Big B has assured full co operation but also said that he has not received any notice in connection with the product that he "stopped promoting" two years ago.

Big B has being quoted saying, "I have not received any notice. As soon as I get it, I will put it up to my lawyers and we will fully cooperate with what the law says. I would also like to add that I stopped endorsing Maggi two years ago. I don't endorse Maggi anymore now. That happened two years ago. So, I have not been associated with the product.

Priety Zinta, who endorsed the brand 12 years ago, took to Twitter to address the controversy "Reading the news about me being sued for doing the Maggie commercial over 12 years ago? 12 years ago ? How does that happen?,"

However, Nestle India claimed it has got samples tested in an external laboratory as well as in-house and that the product was found "safe to eat".

Madhuri Dixit Nene who is currently endorsing Maggi has seconded Nestle claims and twitted, "Nestle has reassured me that they adhere to stringent testing for quality and safety and are working with the authorities closely.

The b-town diva has being slapped with a notice by the Haridwar Food and Drug Administration asking her to explain within 15 days certain claims that were made in the advertisement regarding the nutrition value of the '2-minute noodles'.

Big B stopped promoting it 2 years ago.. Priety Zinta promoted it 12 years back. But still they are under scanner..The industry is again crying for being used as a soft` target..

Well the brand ambassador and celebrity may not be responsible for the excess use of monosodium glutamate (MSG) in the material but their popularity does influence the target consumers.

But anyway what is more important is the responsibility after knowing the goof up.. Big B has announced full support, Preity Zinta is amazed to find herself in the controversy after 12 years and the current ambassador Madhuri Dixit is speaking the company`s lines..

A classic case of celebrities and their response to controversies.
