Woman files case against Arya

Arya 's hunt for a bride on reality television has obviously irked women outfits across the state and only recently the television crew had to return from Kumbakonam unable to shoot at a contestants house.

One Janakiammal of Southern Districts Women Federation and Adi Dravidar Peravai has filed a case at the Madurai court seeking criminal action against the team of the show 'Enga Veetu Mappillai', Colors Television, Arya and host Sangeetha.  The petition has also sought to ban the show citing that it outrages the modesty of women. The court has sent notices to all concerned and posted the case for hearing on the 18th of April.

In 'Enga Veetu Pillai' Arya is seen wooing 16 prospective brides and the show is on the lines of 'Bigg Boss' which also courted controversy.
