More than 500 in Madurai fined for not wearing masks!

Madurai district administration has announced that more than 500 people have been fined for not wearing a face mask in Madurai, as they ventured out of their houses and violated the rules of the Coronavirus lockdown.

Madurai administration has said that 502 people got out of their homes without wearing masks yesterday and were penalized, revealing that a total amount of Rs 59,800 was collected through fines.

As per the guidelines issued on May 15 by the ministry of health, Social distancing has been mandated and wearing face masks was also mandated. The nationwide lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus has been extended till May 31.
