Minister of State for Home Affairs and prominent Telangana BJP leader Kishan Reddy has on Tuesday said in the Parliament that there are inputs regarding Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh radicalizing and recruiting youths through the Madrasas in Burdwan and Murshidabad in West Bengal.
"Relevant inputs are regularly shared with State governments and agencies concerned with advice to take appropriate action. The Government has notified Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh or Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen India or Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Hindustan and all its manifestations as a Terrorist Organization on May 23 in terms of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967," he said.
Regarding the poll-time violence in West Bengal during the recent Lok Sabha polls, Kishan Reddy said, "Concern on issue was shared by Centre with State Government and an advisory was issued on June 9 asking the state to maintain law & order, peace & public tranquility."
