Madras
After a few debacles actor Karthi gave a hit with Venkat Prabhu directed `Biriyani' that released in December 2013. His next film is `Madras' directed by Ranjith of `Attakathi' fame. The film marks the Tamil debut of Catherine Theresa who has been leading in the run up of heroines in Telugu and Malayalam filmindustries. Music scored by Santhosh Narayanan will be a plus point and the songs that have been released a few weeks ago have started topping the chart. The film is entirely set in North Chennai localities and it is touted to present a different face of North Chennai. Karthi plays an IT guy who behaves like a local guy when he is at home and becomes sophisticated in his official circles. The director has assured that the film will be a realistic take on lifestyle, celebration and culture of people living in Norht Chennai. The trailer promises the same. The film is expected to hit the screens in August. |
