Andrea Jeremiah starrer 'Kaa The Forest' is an adventure thriller film, directed by Nanjil. This is one of the long pending movies from the actress. The makers announced it will hit the screens on March 29 after a long wait. But the court restrained the film's release yesterday, delaying it further.
'Kaa The Forest' is a joint production of Shalom Studios and Sasikala Productions. However, there is a legal issue regarding the release of this film as Jayakumar, the owner of Eight Entertainment Company, filed a petition in the Madras High Court to ban the release of the film. There seems to be a dispute between the studios over a loan taken by the film's producer.
According to the petition, John Max of Shalom Studios took a loan of 20 lakhs from Eight Entertainment Company and promised to return the amount with interest within 90 days. Jayakumar filed the lawsuit when the producers decided to release the film without repaying the loan. The petitioner also seeks the complete copyrights of the movie. The Madras High Court ordered an interim ban on the release of the film today (March 29).
Further, the judge adjourned the hearing to April 12, ordering the producer to respond to the petition. It seems that 'Kaa The Forest' won't see the light of the day until April 12th. This film stars Andrea Jeremiah and Salim Ghouse in the lead roles. Sundar C Babu is composing the musical score with cinematography by Arivazhagan and editing by Elisa.
