The Madras High Court has refused to issue a stay on the release of Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' which is all set to hit the screens worldwide on July 22.
A person named Devaraj had filed a petition in the Court claiming that tickets for the film are being sold at exorbitant prices against the Government restriction fixing a maximum ceiling on price at Rs.120/- in theatres across Tamil Nadu.
The petitioner had sent notices to the Tamil Nadu Government and the Police to curb selling ticket on high prices on July 15.
The Judge has refused to entertain the plea seeking a ban on the release stating that the petitioner has approached the Court without giving ample time to the respondents to react to the notice and it is not even clear whether the notices seeking action against inflated ticket rates have reached the concerned authorities.
The Court order has paved way for the smooth release for the Rajinikanth-Radhika Apte starrer on the announced date.
