Courts judgement about grace marks for Tamil NEET students

The Madras High Court has announced that students who took the NEET exam in Tamil will be receiving grace marks for errors in the question paper. Pertaining to this the court has also directed the CBSE to award 196 out of 720 marks to all the students who took the exam in Tamil.

CPM’s Rangarajan has filed a petition stating that there were errors in 49 questions and full marks should be awarded to the students. Further he also stated that the CBSE had gone on to release the results with a petition pending in the court.

The judgement by the court has been well received not only among the students who took the exam but also senior academics as well. The CBSE is expected to make a revised ranking list after the change in marks and until then the counselling for the courses will be stopped.
