'Madras Cafe' bags U/A; no cuts

Released recently, the first trailer of John Abraham starrer ‘Madras Cafe’ was well received by audience and critics alike. The film’s promo, which looks promising with its strong storyline and impressive lead cast, got brownie points from several B-town celebrities as well.

Latest development that Shoojit Sircar's much-awaited next film has been given a U/A certificate by the Censor Board without any cuts.

Quite happy about it, an excited Shoojit remarked, I am happy that the censor board has passed our film without any cuts giving it a U/A certificate. ‘Madras Cafe’ is a conspiracy and espionage fictional story in the backdrop of the Sri Lankan civil wars of the early 1990s. This is a very special film for us and am glad the audiences will get to experience this political thriller soon, he added.

‘Madras Cafe’, which releases on August 23, is co-produced by JA Entertainment and Rising Sun Films and stars John Abraham and Nargis Fakhri in the lead.
