Madonna fell on her rear at her show in Seattle on Thursday night, during the performance of "Open Your Heart." The 55-year-old pop icon was at the time ensconced on one of her backup dancer's chairs at the time, as the dancer was pulling it from behind.
The dancer lost her footing, causing both Madonna and the dancer to fall to the floor. Madonna laughs off the fall before getting up, sitting on the chair but facing the wrong way, and then forgetting the lyrics. She then said, "S---, I forgot the words," and got up.
A back-up dancer approached her with another chair, and the performance continued. It was not the first gaffe on Madonna's "The Celebration Tour."
In December, in Washington, D.C., a dancer approached Santa Claus for a lap dance, but both Santa and the dancer toppled forward. She checked on Santa and handed him back his hat. During another incident, Madonna disclosed that she underwent a medically induced coma while in a hospital over the summer.
She thanked her friend Shavawn for saving her life. On June 24, Madonna was hospitalized for a "serious infection."
