Madonna Sued Over Unwanted Sexual Content and Emotional Distress at Celebration Tour

New sexual content and emotional anguish charges have been brought against Madonna in another Celebration tour lawsuit.

On Wednesday, Justen Lipeles filed a Los Angeles County Superior Court case. Entertainment Weekly reported that Madonna and the tour organizers were sued for negligent misrepresentation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false advertising, and breach of written contract at her March 7 show in L.A.'s Kia Forum.

Lipeles says concertgoers were exposed to pornography without warning, including topless women on stage simulating sex acts, in a heated climate. He claims Madonna turned off the air conditioning, making him sick from the heat. Lipeles also notes Madonna's tardiness, a common allegation in recent cases, noting that she took the stage around 10 p.m. despite the performance starting at 8:30.

Forcing consumers to wait hours in hot, uncomfortable arenas and subjecting them to pornography without warning demonstrates Madonna's blatant disregard for her fans, Lipeles' suit says. When Madonna finally showed up, he claims she lip-synched instead of playing live as paid for.

Entertainment Weekly has not heard from Madonna's reps.

Lipeles' case follows New York attendees Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden's earlier this year. Madonna was accused of unconscionable, unfair, and/or deceptive trade practices for starting a show at 10:30 p.m. instead of 8:30. Madonna's team blamed technical challenges for the delay and filed a motion to dismiss last month.

A month after filing a similar complaint over Madonna's tardiness during her Madame X tour in 2019, Florida concertgoer Nate Hollander dropped it.
