Madonna’s Brush with Mortality: Singer Reveals Speaking to God During Her Near-Death Experience

Madonna told the Los Angeles crowd at a recent concert that she felt a divine connection when she was in the hospitalMadonna spoke to god while she was in near death experience in June for a serious bacterial infection. It was a “no” that came when she surfaced from the four-day induced coma, which she said she took as a celestial cue to stick around.

Flu has already attacked the global pop superstar, and she had to reschedule several stops on her Celebration World Tour. Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, updated the condition of the singer, saying that she would probably be okay because this is a dangerous condition.

Historically beset by health problems that wore her ragged, including a knee injury during her last tour that left her off the road, Madonna seemed emotionally stretched by her performances rather than physically taxed, stemming from a fall in which she said she felt vulnerable and wanted to be back onstage.

Madonna candidly expressed her frustration to the actor in an interview, yearning for the energy to restart her touring. For Madonna, the little things like sun-bathing, even if it was celebratory at the beginning, were good enough for her.

More than anything else, the state of health that Madonna was in required that she let go and listen to her body; it had brought to her the basic lesson of surrendering to the uncertainty of life.
