Madonna Sparks Outrage by Questioning Fan in Wheelchair for Sitting During Concert

While she was on stage, the Queen of Pop looked down at the crowd and noticed a fan with his head down. She asked the audience, questioning the reason as to why they were using wheelchairs, and screamed, “What the f*ck are you doing sitting?” Madonna then approached the stage and said that the guy was sitting in a f*cking chair.

She then said “sorry,” calling her statement “politically incorrect” and adding that she is glad the fan came. However, quite a number of fans continue to rain her with condemnations by publicly singling out the concert goer, noting that there are so many reasons that may be behind sitting at a show.

Other online users reacted negatively to the mistake that she had made, while others took her defense and explained the situation. Some of them even said that Madonna’s apology was insincere, and others said that she needed to offer more of an apology and direct acknowledgment of what she did to that fan. 

The uproar was also because of the term “politically incorrect” used by Madonna, such that for some fans, it was like she totally dismissed their concerns. At the end of the day, the incident underscores the limitless amounts of sensitivity and understanding required in dealing with fans who might have special needs or circumstances.
