The joy of directing his second film after a two-year long wait for Venkatapuram director Madikanti Venu seems to be a short-lived one. Having launched his second project, a crime thriller set in a political space in Visakhapatnam, with Naveen Chandra earlier this April, the film hasn’t gone to sets yet.
The makers announced that it was to commence from June but it didn’t. It is learnt that project, which was to feature Naseer, Brahmaji, Rao Ramesh and Avasarala Sreenivas in supporting roles, has been called off. While the reasons regarding the same are unknown, as things stand now, the project will not happen. However, Naveen, it seems has offered the director another film as he believes Venu has in it in him to become big.
