Like several other Bollywood stars from the 90s, iconic actress Madhuri Dixit also started the second innings of her career by venturing into the digital entertainment space. She is going to star in the upcoming Netflix thriller 'Fame Game' where she will essay the role of Anamika Anand, a movie star who's mysterious disappearance unravels some dark secrets about her life.
Talking about what made her take up the project, Madhuri told Hindustan Times, "I liked the idea and the whole script in general and also liked the idea of someone so famous suddenly disappearing. There were great directors in Bejoy and Karishma Kohli. I felt it was a great fit, so I said yes."
Although she plays the role of a filmstar, Madhuri says that her character Anamika is nothing like her real self. She said, "I'm not playing myself. I did that in a film called Dharavi, where I am Madhuri Dixit, who comes in Om Puri's dreams. There, I was playing myself. Here, it is a character I'm playing. Yes, the character has some experiences that I have like fame and being a big star. What she is actually going through is very different from me."
'Fame Game' will release on 25th of February exclusively on Netflix.
