Lakshmi Manchu has reacted unfavourably to the pre-look poster of 'Fashion Designer', directed by Vamsy. The pre-look sees the protagonist taking measurements of a girl and the focus is entirely on her bosom, to the exclusion of their faces.
The Manchu girl, who has in recent times spoken up against prevalent sexualization and patriarchal attitudes in different walks of life, said that this objectification of women should stop. "When will we stop objectifying women like this?" she questioned on Twitter.
Duly acknowledging the outrage, the film's producer Madhura Sreedhar replied saying, "I am sorry andi…. it's not intentional…. just depicted this pre-look from a sequence in the movie. Will surely take your point. Thank u!"
