Speculations are rife of late that director Madhur Bhandarkar's supposedly magnum opus project 'Madamji', starring Priyanka Chopra in lead has been put on back burner.

Rumours have it that both Bhandarkar and Priyanka had met for a long serious discussion on this and they decided to put the project on hold. Priyanka, who was going to co-produce 'Madamji' with the director, is currently very busy with 'Bajirao Mastani' shooting. Prior to that the actress had been in US to shoot for the American TV series Quantico. And it is said that if this series clicks, then Priyanka would be expected to give bulk dates for further shoot. Besides these, she has Reema Kagti's 'Mr.Chaloo' with Fawad Khan.

Also, Bhandarkar said to have started with another project. Eventually, 'Madamji' has been ignored and both the director and PC agreed mutually to put the film on hold as of now.
