Actor Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi starrer 'Vikram Vedha' released on Friday (July 21) and the film has lived up to the expectations created by the promotional materials. The performance of Maddy and Vijay are being hailed by everyone and also the film is getting rave reviews from all corners.

We learn that the film has performed very well at the Tamil Nadu Box office in all centres.

A source close to the Box office trade has confirmed that 'Vikram Vedha' has collected Rs.4 crores across Tamil Nadu on its first day of release. This includes Chennai's share of Rs.51 lakhs, Rs.65 lakhs from Coimbatore and Rs.1.15 crores from Chengalpet.

This is touted to be the best ever opening for Madhavan and also Vijay Sethupathi.

With very good reviews and word of mouth the film is expected to perform even better in the weekend and take a tremendous opening.
