Madhavan signs a Hollywood zombie flick!

For all those of you Maddy fans, who have been wondering why the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ handsome is not to be seen much, this is why he is missing.

Talks are that R.Madhavan had a meeting with Simon West, the Hollywood director of 'Con Air', 'The General's Daughter' and 'Lara Croft: Tomb Raider' fame. And apparently it clicked between the two, as the they have joined hands for the movie titled 'Night of the Living Dead: Origins in 3D'.

What is shocking and surprising at the same time is that Maddy is shedding his good boy charming look for the film, as it is a zombie story, that too in 3D.

On bagging such an opportunity, Madhavan stated, “It's a great introduction to American Cinema, working with Simon West and his team. He's made and continues to make some of the most exciting and thrilling films out of Hollywood. I am honoured to be working alongside him. I am also thrilled to be in this 3D re-imagining of the cult-classic Night of The Living Dead.

Speaking about his working experience, the actor added, They use cutting edge technology with facial capture in 3D. It is interesting to work with Simon.

The film will be produced by Simon West Productions and The Graphic Film Company in association with 2020 Entertainment and Indus Media and Entertainment. The story revolves around a group of survivors fighting to stay alive when a mysterious plague unleashes the undead on New York City.

Said producer Simon West, “This movie represents a whole new way of visualizing the classic zombie genre. It has a fresh and exciting style that sets it apart from all other horror films seen up until now.”

While co-producer Paresh Ghelani of 2020 Entertainment added, “It's great to help introduce American audiences to what those many fans of Bollywood films have known for years. R. Madhavan is a huge dynamic talent. 2020 Entertainment is thrilled to have such an incredible opportunity to work with a world class filmmaker like Simon West in delivering this 3D zombie classic to the screen.
