Madhavan after a brief hiatus came back strongly in Tamil cinema with two back to back hits 'Irudhi Suttru' and 'Vikram Vedha' and his die-hard fans have been awaiting his next release for more than a year now. Maddy has completed two films 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' in which he is making his debut as director as well as playing the role of famed rocket scientist Nambi Narayanan. His other film 'Nishabdham' in which he is paired opposite Anushka is also complete and will release soon after the Covid 19 lockdown ends.

An official statement has been issued by Maddy's new Tamil film 'Maara' which is the remake of the Malayalam sleeper hit 'Charlie'. The original had Dulquer Salman and Parvathi Menon as the lead pair

'Maara' is directed by debutante Dilipkumar and has Shraddha Srinath as the heroine. Pramod Films the producers have stated that the entire shooting was complete before the lockdown itself and the postproduction work is now on and will be finished soon. It has also been revealed that big names in both the cast and the crew of 'Maara' will be announced soon as a surprise to fans.
