Madhavan - Not just another K'town cop

It wouldn't be wrong to say that Tamil cinema has clichéd the image of a cop in two ways:
When the protagonist plays cop, whether on a positive or negative note, he sets a whole-new style statement, is composed yet fiery, boasts off a six pack, takes no false moves and what not. But at the same time, when it is the baddie playing a cop, he has the biggest paunch one can ever have, has a devil-may-care attitude, greed for money et al.
But looks like Linguswamy's forthcoming 'Vettai' will do away from these for from the stills on location and sources, we are now sure that one of the protagonists in the film, played by Madhavan who dons the role of a cop in this film, has gained a few extra pounds and put on a paunch!
Reliable sources from the unit say, this is to match with his role that is of a relaxed cop unlike what our other K'town heroes play for a cop. He is not going to be a superhero-cop beating up goons, thrashing baddies or anything of the sort, as it is said that the script involves him to seem unlike and unfit for being a cop in certain scenes.
Sources close to the unit vouch that it is Madhavan's look and character which will highlight the movie more than anything else.
Not just that, he and Arya are jelling so well that it is of awe to few at the set. Speaking to a media house, Madhavan joked, Everyone is sick of Arya and me bonding so well. In fact, even on messenger we have the same picture! People are now telling us, Âtake a break or get a room!
However, this is not to the surprise of many as both Arya and Madhavan are known for their chemistry with co-stars.
