Mani Ratnam’s ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ was a resounding flop, but the director has moved on to his next film for which the scripting is finished and the casting process has begun. Reliable sources reveal that Madhavan has been approached to play one of the leading men in the double hero project. There have been reports that young Telugu superstar Ram Charan Teja is on board a few months back but no official word yet.
The untitled film will be the fifth outing for Maddy with his mentor Mani Ratnam after ‘Alai Payuthey’, ‘Kannathil Muthamittaal’, ‘Ayudha Ezhuthu’ and ‘Guru’. Veteran cinematographer Santhosh Sivan, A.R. Rahman and Vairamuthu are said to be the integral part of the project which will be announced officially in the coming days.
