Evergreen hero R. Madhavan is known for throwing surprises in almost every film he acts in. In his early stages after the release of the youthful 'Alaipayuthey' directed by Mani Ratnam he came to be known as the chocolate boy and mostly acted in soft gentlemanly roles.
Maddy then shocked his fans especially the ones from the fairer gender by going bald and bad in Mani Ratnam's 'Ayutha Ezhuthu' that had Suriya and Siddharth as the protagonist. After a self imposed hiatus the handsome hunk once again surprised Tamil fans by beefing up to play the boxing coach in his comeback movie 'Irudhi Suttru' and then toning down for the intense cop in 'Vikram Vedha'.
Madhavan dedicated close to five years to his dream project 'Rocketry : The Nambi Effect' which marked his directorial debut. The biopic about rocket scientist Nambi Narayanan won several international awards and also entered the Oscar race this year. Maddy's makeup as Nambi was so perfect that no one could tell them apart.
The 52 year old much loved pan Indian actor dropped his latest pic on his social media page and captioned it "New project begins with a new look. Super excited .. ". Fans are stunned by his looks which is that of a thirty something and they cant stop raving that he is "Ageing backwards" and "Aging like fine wine". He has sure shed many a kilo and that too in a very short time and his followers are pestering him to reveal his secret weight loss method.
Madhavan is currently playing the lead in a new Tamil movie produced by Mediaone and directed by Mithran R Jawahar of 'Thiruchitrambalam' fame. It is said to be a light hearted romantic comedy and more details about the rest of the cast and crew will be out soon.
