Is this the catchy title of Madhavan-Nayanthara’s first film together?

We broke the news months back that Madhavan and Nayanthara are acting together for the first time in their careers.  The film marks the directorial debut of popular producer Sashikanth of Y Not Studios.

Now the hot buzz is that the film which is based on cricket has been titled ‘The Test’ and will go on floors by this month end.  Siddharth plays an important character and while this is his first film with Nayanthara, he has costarred with Maddy in two films ‘Ayudha Ezhuthu’ and ‘Rang De Basanti’. 

Sashikanth is know for producing films of substance such as ‘Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi’, ‘Thamizh Padam’, ‘Va’, ‘Kaaviya Thalaivan’, ‘Irudhi Suttru’, ‘Vikram Vedha’, ‘Super Deluxe’ and ‘Mandela’.   It will be interesting to see what he has in store from the director’s chair.
