Followed by the Pulwama attacks, India has been on a retaliation mode, and yesterday there were attacks in Balakot, Chakoti and Muzafarabad, and it had been reported that Jaish E Mohammed camps were destroyed. While several media reports have claimed deaths of terrorists, some have been exaggerating the numbers with news provoking wars and spreading false news.
Condemning the false news reported by a section of media, actor Madhavan had tweeted, "It's a war against terror and not between two nations. Dear media - you can actually stop this escalation. Please let's be responsible and work towards peace".
On the other hand, Siddharth, known for his sensible tweets had also tweeted, "The media owes it to themselves and to us only to carry confirmed news. Please don't rush in or add fuel to flames of rumour out of fear of missing out. This isn't entertainment. Let us not believe anything in a hurry either as citizens."
That famous #Newsroom episode comes to mind. The #media owes it to themselves and us to only carry confirmed news. Please don't rush in or add fuel to flames of rumour out of fear of missing out. This isn't entertainment. Let us not believe anything in a hurry either as citizens. https://t.co/NzoLvtezuO
