Madarasi
Arjun is one actor who regularly wields the megaphone. This is something he has done all through his career, and especially when the chips are down for him.
Now his career graph has sunk to a new low, so his Madarasi has evinced more interest than it would otherwise. In his directorial venture, Arjun has also brought his long-time friend Jagapathi Babu to debut in Tamil.
Produced by Subha Sandeep, Madarasi is all about underworld dons in Mumbai. Arjun has taken charge of direction, story and screenplay.
Not just action, there will be a right dose of emotion and romance. The artistes were finalized giving a lot of thought to the characters, Arjun says.
Arjun and Jagapathi play the top two characters.
Speaking on the movie, producer Subha Sandeep says, 'the protagonist is part of the system while trying to beat it. With the story linked to the underworld, much of the action is confined in Mumbai. Arjun has done his best to ensure that the lively pace has been retained till the end.'
Gajala, Vedica and Harika are the three leading ladies, the last two being debutantes (in Tamil). Kuthu-fame Ramya is back in the fray. Vivek has handled the comedy track in a line-up including Vennira Adai Murthy and Manorama.
A major portion of the movie has been completed and we are hopeful of an early release,she says.
The film is a bilingual, being simultaneously made in Telugu, too.
