  • IndiaGlitz, [Tuesday,June 10 2008]

Officials of the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI), who arrived from Chennai today for conciliatory talks, met the dissident group and official group of MACTA and had talks with them separately.

The dissident fraction seems to have told the FEFSI about their intention to form a separate organisation. With more than 20 popular directors officially going for resignations from MACTA, FEFSI also held the view that the Dileep - Thulasidas issue has not been dealt properly by the existing governing body of MACTA.

They dismissed the issue as one which could have ended with a friendly talk in the directors union itself.

Meanwhile, the official MACTA body led by director Vinayan expects the issue to end within a day or two. FEFSI members is understood to have told MACTA to free themselves from critical attitudes and activities, for laying the platform for compromise talks and go back from their stern stands on Dileep, to end the issue, before its gets completely out of hand.
