CV Kumar is a well-known producer and distributor who runs the production studio Thirukumaran Entertainment. He turned into a director with the 2017 film 'Maayavan'. CV Kumar's directorial debut is highly acclaimed as one of the unique and proper sci-fi thrillers in Tamil cinema.

Now, CV Kumar has officially announced a sequel to 'Maayavan'. Titled 'Maayavan Reloaded', the maker also unveiled the first look poster on his social media page. Sundeep Kishan, who played the lead in the first part, will play a pivotal role in the sequel too. The second part is planned as a high-budget multilingual project.

In the poster, we see a man in a space suit entering a void. CV Kumar is focusing on the pre-production works currently and will start shooting for Maayavan Reloaded in January 2023. The technical crew includes editor Ignatious Aswin, music composer Hari SR and cinematographer Ram. The team has decided to shoot the film parallelly in Tamil and Telugu.

Taking to Twitter, CV Kumar shared the first look and wrote, "By the grace of God Glad to share the first look of #Maayavanreloaded the second chapter of one of the Best Sci fi action / Thriller Film of tamil cinema #Maayavan. #Maayavanreloaded A @icvkumar Directorial" (sic). The first look is a big hit among the fans and netizens.
