Sivakarthikeyan, after delivering two back to back blockbuster hits 'Doctor' and 'Don' had an average outing with his Diwali release 'Prince'. However the shooting of his next interesting project 'Maaveeran' is going on in full swing.

It has been officially announced that popular Telugu actor Sunil is on board 'Maaveeran' further strengthening the ensemble cast that already has Sivakarthikeyan, Aditi Shankar and director Mysskin. Sunil who started his career as a comedian turned hero in S.S. Rajamouli's 'Maryada Ramanna'.

Sunil recently turned antagonist in the blockbuster hit 'Pushpa' starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna. He is also acting in a powerful negative role in Karthi's 'Japan' directed by Raju Murugan.

The expectations for 'Maaveeran' is pretty high since director Madonne Ashwin was critically acclaimed for his 'Mandela' for which he also won a National Award for Best Debut Film Director. The motion poster of the film produced by Shanthi Talkies showing a different action avatar of Sivakarthikeyan has got fans worked up and awaiting the release anxiously which is likely to be in mid 2023.
